Since welcoming its first student batch in mid-2026, Ankuran Science Centre, Madurai has been bringing experiential science learning to government and government-aided school students across the city. As with every Ankuran Centre, the majority of working hours are set aside specifically for government and government-aided school children — ensuring that hands-on science reaches the students who typically have the least access to it.
As one of Ankuran’s newest Centres, Madurai is still building its reach — growing steadily, batch by batch, school by school, in the same way Durgapur did in its own early days.

Madurai Municipal Corporation has granted free access to the Ankuran Science Centre for students and teachers from Corporation schools across the city — a standing invitation that reflects the strength of this partnership in practice, not just on paper. Every Corporation school student is welcome to experience hands-on science learning at no cost.
