Where student grows through learning and discovery
Durgapur is home to Ankuran’s flagship Centre — the first Science Centre we built, and the place where our ERTA approach to experiential learning was shaped through years of direct work with government school students. Dedicated Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs give students hands-on access to experiments and models most of their classrooms can’t offer, while quarterly science camps, weekly sessions and student-run science clubs keep the Centre active well beyond scheduled class visits.

Dedicated Learning Labs
ANKURAN 30
Investing in Durgapur's Brightest Young Minds.
ANKURAN-30 is a year-long enrichment program built around the students who show the most promise in each participating school. Schools sign up their students for the program — one class or more — and from each enrolled class, Ankuran selects 30 students through a competitive screening exam to take part.
Selected students stay with the program all year, including through school holidays, receiving sustained mentorship and deeper engagement far beyond what a regular weekly Centre session offers. Parents are brought into the process early, with their active involvement and consent secured from the outset — their support is what allows a program of this length and intensity to run consistently across the full year, rather than tapering off once term-time ends.

The Durgapur Science Centre works closely with 20+ government and private schools across the region, bringing structured, curriculum-aligned science learning to students who might otherwise never get hands-on lab access. Each partner school receives scheduled weekly sessions, giving every student a recurring, dependable point of contact with experiential science — not a one-off visit.
